Thank you to our PTO for making this week special! Wednesday’s staff luncheon was delicious, and we felt so appreciated. We’re also grateful for your support of six teacher grants that fund innovative materials like vertical white boards and essentials like new gym mats for PE. Your generosity makes a real difference for our students and staff.
Farewell to Liz Rey
It is with mixed emotions that I share that Bates librarian Liz Rey will be retiring on January 16. Over her sixteen years at Bates, she has shared her passion for reading with countless students and transformed our library into a center for research and learning. Ms. Rey will be greatly missed by our entire school community. Please join me in wishing her all the very best as she begins this next chapter.
As we move through December, our school community celebrates a wonderful diversity of traditions and holidays. Warmest wishes to those celebrating Hanukkah, preparing for Christmas or Kwanzaa, observing the winter solstice or simply enjoying time with loved ones. However you celebrate this season, I wish you joy, peace and meaningful moments with the people you love.
