Dear Bates Families,
We’ve really enjoyed the opportunity to meet with you for parent teacher conferences over the past few weeks. Thank you for making time for these important conversations and helping us to work in strong partnership with you.
Bates Mini-Marathon
Mark your calendars for the Bates Mini-Marathon on April 15! The Mini Marathon is an all school event in which each grade takes turns running and walking laps around the building for 20 minutes. Students have already begun training during PE with Mx. Fyvie, increasing their endurance and learning how to pace themselves. Students feel proud of their progress each week. Below are a few important details:
- Families are warmly invited to cheer enthusiastically for the students from the sidewalk in front of the school, or from the blacktop and playground area in the back. No RSVP needed – just show up if you can!
- We encourage all students to wear their Bates Proud t-shirt. It’s always wonderful to see our Bates pride on display during these school-wide events!
- The specific times each grade will be running and more information will be shared next week!
As a reminder, next week there is no school on Friday in observance of Good Friday. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
