Dear Bates Families,
Congratulations to our PTO for a successful Bates Pumpkin Fair on Saturday. Thank you to our PTO leaders and every parent volunteer for your hard work to make this a wonderful experience for our community.
Below are a few notes about this week:
Picture Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, October 19. Each child will receive a complimentary class photo. If you would like to order individual photos, please go to www.coffepond.com. Bates coordinates scholarships for families with a financial need. Please reach out to me at jolleya@wellesleyps.org or (781) 446-6260 if you would like to request assistance with pictures and/or any other school activity.
Parent Teacher Conferences will begin next week. A link for each teacher’s sign-ups will be sent out tomorrow via email at 12:00 pm.
National Guard Support for Viral Testing: Governor Baker announced that the Massachusetts Air National Guard has been activated to assist schools participating in the state-sponsored, Covid-19 Testing Program. WPS will welcome 6 members of the National Guard this week to assist with the test and stay, and pool testing portions of the district’s program. Bates had the opportunity to meet several guardsmen today. We are grateful for their assistance with our Covid-19 testing program.
