Dear Bates Families,
I hope this email finds you well. I write to share several important updates. Thank you in advance for reading all the way through!
The Bates Office
Please join me in warmly welcoming Megan LeBlanc who is serving as the Bates secretary for a few weeks. Megan is quickly learning all of our Bates procedures and is ready to help should you need it. In order to reach Megan or receive assistance from the Bates office, please either call (781) 446-6260 or use the Bates office email: wps-bates-office@wellesleyps.org.
New: Absence, Tardy and Early Dismissal Communication
Going forward, we ask that you communicate with the school about any student absence, tardy arrival or dismissal by using the Google form located on our website. The Bates website has directions for how to bookmark the form on your phone if needed.
Please continue to use PickUp Patrol to communicate your child’s dismissal plans with the school. However, please discontinue using PickUp Patrol to report a late arrival or early dismissal – use the Google form instead. Thank you for your cooperation.
Report Cards
Term 1 report cards will be available in the Parent Portal on Friday at 3:00. I have attached a letter sent to families earlier this month with information about our Standards Based Report Card and how to access it in the Parent Portal. Paper copies of the report card will no longer be provided by the school.
The Day of Play 2022
The Day of Play is a great tradition at Bates. Students spend the day imagining and creating from cardboard and other recyclables. I am excited to announce that Wednesday, February 16 will be the Day of Play. More details are to come, including how families can help. You can start now by collecting cardboard to send into school the week of Feb 7. Thank you in advance!
If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at jolleya@wellesleyps.org.
Warmly,
Toni Jolley
