The staff at Bates are so grateful to the PTO for their thoughtful gift last week of delicious breakfast treats and all of the supplies to stock the ultimate coffee bar. We feel so appreciated!
Winter Snow Gear Reminder
The light snow on Tuesday brought a bit of excitement to us at school! As a reminder, we always try to go outside for arrival and recess unless we determine that it’s too wet or the temperature and wind chill are well below 20 degrees. On days when there is some snow accumulation, it is important that students come dressed for the snow with waterproof footwear. In addition, in order to play in the snow or on the structure, students will also need snow pants and gloves. Thank you for sending students to school prepared for outdoor play.
Evacuation Drill
On Wednesday, Officer Poirier joined us to help practice our evacuation procedure. We are grateful for our partnership with the Wellesley Police Department in supporting successful emergency drills with our students.
Winter Concert
We look forward to the Bates Winter Concert on Wednesday, December 11, at 8:45 AM in the gym. The concert will feature performances by our fifth grade chorus, the Bates band, and Bates orchestra. All are welcome!
