Dear Bates families, I am happy to share with you two different opportunities to work with the math department to learn about your child’s mathematics learning.  On Thursday, February 12 at 9:00 in the Bates library, the math department head Jen MacPherson and the Bates math coach Jany Finkielsztein will hold a math conversation for Bates parents.  This conversation will support parents in learning about key math understandings for students in grades K-5.  This will be an excellent opportunity to ask questions and learn how to support math at home.  Additionally, the math department is offering an interactive math workshop for all Wellesley Public School parents.  Please see the attached flyer for more information about this workshop.  Please note: the same workshop is offered on four different dates.  Parents are welcome to attend a workshop at any location.  To help with materials and space preparation, please RSVP using the link on the flyer.   I hope you will be able to join us for one or both of these opportunities. Sincerely, Toni Jolley
