Dear Bates Families,

We had a terrific last day of school. We enjoyed our tradition of ending the day with the whole school clap out for our fifth graders. Every student and staff member lined the halls while parents lined the front walk. All cheered and clapped loudly as the fifth graders made their way through the school and out the front doors for the last time, giving high fives and hugs along the way.

We are so proud of all of our students for the progress they have made this year, and we are grateful for the opportunity to teach them. Thank you for sharing your children with us and being part of the Bates community.

A few final reminders:

  1. The last Progress Report went home today in student backpacks.
  2. Don’t forget to check out our summer reading suggestions, which you can find here: Summer Reading 2017
  3. Every Bates student will continue to have access to Dreambox over the summer, so enjoy!

In the coming weeks look for information on our school website regarding the school year ahead. Grade level supply lists will be posted in case you wish to get a head start on your shopping.

I wish you all a restful and rejuvenating summer vacation.

Warm regards,

Toni Jolley
