Dear Bates Community,

We are very excited to welcome all students back full-time starting Monday.  In anticipation of this shift, I ask your help to follow our carline and morning arrival procedures.  As you may recall, this year we adjusted arrival time to 8:20 – 8:30 to help maintain safe physical distancing during arrival.  This has been very helpful.  For those using the carline, we anticipate more cars and potentially a longer wait in the carline.  Please arrive early and help to move the line along by pulling all the way through the bus lane before stopping.  It is always our goal to have all students in their classrooms by 8:30 each morning.  Students who arrive after this time miss important routines and instructions in their classroom.

As a reminder, April 6 is an Early Release Day (12:00 dismissal) for elementary students for Parent Teacher Conferences.

I look forward to joining the PTO meeting on Thursday, April 8 at 7:30 p.m.  I will share photos of our first days of the full return to school to help you better visualize your child’s day.  I also look forward to hearing from you about the first days of our full return.

Please remember there is no school tomorrow, Friday, April 2 in observance of Good Friday.  For those families celebrating Passover or Easter, I wish you a wonderful holiday.

Warm regards,

Toni Jolley
