Dear HunneBates,
In advance of the long weekend, I write to share a few notes.
Wednesday, October 12th is our first Walk and Roll to School Day. Students can walk, bike, run, or scooter to school and earn a plastic “footie” for their shoelaces or backpack, and sign a poster. Students who take the bus or get dropped off can walk or run a few laps around the playground during arrival or recess to earn a footie and sign the poster. We hope for this to be a fun and inclusive event for all.
Also on Wednesday, I will send the parent/guardian teacher conference sign up links at 10:00 am via email. We encourage all families to sign up for a fall conference. This is an opportunity to learn how your child is doing and to share feedback, questions or concerns with your child’s teacher. The timeline for conferences and report cards is as follows:
Fall: Parent/Guardian Teacher Conferences
End of January: First Report Card
Spring: Parent/Guardian Teacher Conferences
Last day of school: Final Report Card
Finally, as a reminder there is No School on Monday in honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Enjoy the long weekend!
Warmly,
Toni Jolley
