Dear Bates,

I would like to acknowledge the recent tragedy in Winder, GA.  As their community mourns, our thoughts and prayers are with them.  I also want to remind our entire community that the Wellesley Public Schools remain vigilant about the safety and protection of our students, staff and families.  We work in partnership with the Wellesley Police Department to develop protocols, train staff and maintain safety procedures at school.

As a community we continue to recognize the enormous value of building strong relationships with our students, supporting all students’ social emotional development and proactively intervening when students are in crisis.  We work in partnership with families and encourage you to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

We look forward to our first full week of school and full days for our kindergarten students next week.  We are also excited for the opportunity to share our priorities for the year and discuss ways we can work together to support our students’ success at Back to School Night on Thursday, September 19 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.

Have a great weekend.

Warmly,

Toni Jolley
