Dear Bates,
Each year at Bates we plan one day that is extra special. This year we have planned a day of arts and performance called Artstravaganza. Artstravaganza will be on Wednesday, February 12 from 10:15 – 11:30 am.
What is Artstravaganza?
On Wednesday February 12 from 10:15 – 11:30 am Bates will be transformed into an arts street fair, with student performances and creations on display in the halls and various spaces such as the gym, cafeteria, the music room and the library.
Students may sing, dance, play an instrument, be in a band, recite a poem, perform a skit, perform a gymnastics routine, juggle, tell jokes, perform magic tricks, display a work of art, or demonstrate making a piece of art. We welcome other ideas for consideration as well.
Students who are not performing will have the opportunity to see performances and displays. Families are invited to attend.

We ask that families review all of the Guidelines for Artstravaganza. If your child would like to participate, please complete this form by Friday, January 31. Late submissions will be considered if space is available.
Volunteers will be needed to help set up and take down the performance areas and displays. Please look for a sign up link in a future email.
