Dear P.A.W.S. Families,

We enjoyed several fun events last week, and it was delightful to see so many families enjoying time together at P.A.W.S.!  Thank you to the many family members and P.A.W.S. community members who contributed to the happy events!  Your ongoing support and commitment enrich the experiences and programing for P.A.W.S. families and students! We have a few more events coming up, too! Read on, for more information!

Helping Hands – Thank you to all of the families who have donated gift items to the Holiday Helping Hands project!  If you took a mitten from the line, here’s a gentle reminder that the gifts are all due to be returned by this Friday, December 14, 2018.  Please let Nurse Ann know if you have any questions.

Putting It All Together Workshop – Thank you to P.A.W.S. parent, Rose Nolan for sharing your experience, insight and for co-hosting the make-and-take special education binder making workshop for parents! We will be offering this event again in the spring! If you have a child with an IEP, you will find the information and resources shared in this workshop to be invaluable to you!

Winter Traditions Dessert Night – Thank you to all of the families who participated in and contributed to the Winter Traditions Dessert Night last Friday night!  We had over 100 guests in attendance including moms, dads, grandparents, siblings, babies, teens and two School Committee members, Michael D’Ortenzio and Sharon Grey! A special thank you PTO president Elizabeth Nelson and PK2 parent Cara Whiting for their hours of behind the scenes work in helping us prepare for the event!  Thank you for providing the “to go” boxes! The children loved personalizing, decorating, and then filling their containers with goodies to bring home! Yum!

Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who purchased and decorated luminaries – we raised $120.00 for the PTO! Thank you to those who provided paper-goods, hot cocoa, and delicious treats for the event! Thank you to parents Helen Livson, Taisha Barrows, Amanda and Todd Crowley, and Carrie Coleman and many others for helping us at the end of the night with the clean-up! It was a wonderful event with arts and crafts, a movie and so many delicious international desserts as well as the most incredible homemade empanadas!!  We are already making plans for next year’s event!
