Dear PAWS Families,

Here we are at the beginning of June and getting close to the end of an amazing school year.  We recently had a wonderful STEM presentation coordinated by Jill Wells and funded by the PAWS PTO that our students from Bates, Fiske and PAWS all enjoyed! With approximately ten and a half days left of this school year, we have another fun activity planned for the preschoolers at PAWS. As you know, all of the children who attend PAWS join us from all across Wellesley and represent each of the neighborhood schools.  The school colors for PAWS include all of the colors from all of the schools in the districts and we will celebrate this next week by hosting a tie-dye day for the children at PAWS.

Tie-Dye Day

  • Please send a white cotton t-shirt to school with your child by Wednesday, June 8th.

If your child has an old white cotton t-shirt with a stain you may give it a new life by sending it in to tie-dye, or send in a new white t-shirt, that will work, too! To best prepare for tie-dye day, we would be grateful for donations of the following items:

  • A roll of paper towels
  • A box of quart or gallon sized zip-top baggies
  • Extra t-shirts, in case anyone forgets to bring one, or needs one

Thank you!

Weekly Staff Snacks and Drinks: Thank you so much to the families that have given so generously to our staff each week so far this school year!  Thank you to the Cahalane Family, Scarpati Family, Guidi Family, Rhault Family, and O’Connell Family for recently providing treats for the faculty. The staff really appreciate and enjoy the goodies and seltzer that you’ve sent in for them

SunScreen Reminder:

Please remember that we are not allowed to apply sunscreen to children.  Please put sunscreen on your child prior to coming to school. A sun hat, sunglasses and water bottle (labeled with your child’s name) are a good idea to send in on a warm, sunny day.

Thank you to all of you for your ongoing support and positive contributions!  Each kind word you offer, friendly smile you share, and act of care you demonstrate help PAWS students, staff and the PAWS community to thrive!  We are looking forward to a fun tie-dye day at the end of the school year! Reach out if you have any questions.

Best,

‘Becca Z.
