Dear PAWS Families,

It was lovely to see so many families at the Orientation and Visit Days back in the building this week! It was wonderful to see parents/caregivers and children exploring their classrooms together, playing with the toys and activities, and meeting their teachers for this year!  In case you were not able to attend, or would like to review what you heard, or share with another caregiver in your home, I am sharing the Orientation Slides with you HERE. Please reach out with any questions!

Each Friday afternoon/evening, I send out a PAWS Family NewsLetter.  I have been calling it “PAWS UP” as it has the PAWS updates and newsworthy postings on it for each week.

Message from Nurse Zinta:

There are times during the school day when students will require the administration of medication.  When at all possible, medication should be given at home but there are circumstances when it is important to maintain therapeutic levels or to keep a student pain free and comfortable during school hours.  Students with medical conditions should have emergency and as needed medication available at school as well (EpiPens, inhalers, seizure or diabetes medication). Please follow the guidelines on this form (Medication Drop Off Information) to drop off medication.

Medication needs to be delivered to me directly so we can go over all your paperwork and the medication itself. Please bring in your medication and forms AFTER you have dropped off your child at school (not from the car line).

If your child’s class is at Fiske please deliver the medication and forms to me. After I have verified that we have all that is needed I will bring your child’s medication to the nurse at Fiske. We have a new nurse at Fiske this year, Mrs. Kayla Lacerra (known as Nurse Lacerra for the preschoolers).

Enjoy your weekend and stay healthy!
