Dear Bates Families,

It was great to see the families who were able to join us for Back to School Night last week. We appreciate the opportunity to share our vision for the school year and establish a strong partnership with you. If you weren’t able to make it last Thursday, please contact your child’s teacher to receive the information shared.

As fall weather arrives, I would like to remind families of a few guidelines for a safe arrival and dismissal:

  • If you park on any of the neighboring streets, please remember to avoid parking on crosswalks and intersections.

  • Stop for all pedestrians and bikers in crosswalks.

  • If you are using car line, please put your family name tag in the dashboard of your car to assist our staff with our dismissal procedures.

Thank you for attention to these safety guidelines.

Next week I invite all families for me to join me for the New Family Coffee in the library on Thursday, Sept. 28 at 8:45 a.m. I look forward to sharing more about the year ahead and answer any questions about our school.

Finally, I wish our Jewish families and friends Shanah Tovah! In honor of Rosh Hashana there will be no school tomorrow, Thursday, September 22.

Warm regards,

Toni Jolley
