Dear Bates Community,
As you may have heard in the news, this afternoon the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) voted to give Executive Commissioner Jeffrey Riley the authority to direct districts to return to the classroom full-time. Pre-K to grade 5 students are to begin five days a week of in-person learning on April 5.
I know at this time families likely have many questions. As a district, we have already begun planning and preparing for this transition. More information will be available next week. In addition, please save the date for a principal coffee on Zoom on Thursday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss the transition process at Bates.
