1.Before-School BOKS Playtime Activity Tues & Fri – 7:40-8:15 a.m. a.m. Studies show that kids who run around and exercise before school can concentrate in class better. Get your kids moving in the mornings before school with the free parent-run before-school exercise program BOKS (Build Our Kids Success or www.BOKSkids.org). Developed by moms in Natick with a curriculum by Reebok, BOKS includes warm-ups, stretching, relay races and fun team-oriented games. This is a free program run by parents because kids focus better in school if they run around for 30 minutes before school starts. All kids are invited. Parents too (if you can!) Tuesdays and Fridays. Drop off is 7:30-7:40 a.m. in the Fiske gym. If you haven’t attended this year, please bring the attached BOKS Registration Form PARENTS NEEDED: We need 4 parents each day to make sure kids don’t get hurt (1 leader). If you can commit to a recurring signup that would be best (ie: Every Tuesday, or Every other Friday). This is a great way to spend fun quality time with kids your kids (especially for working parents, since you’ll be done and on the road by 8:15am) Sign up to help: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f084baeab22a20-boks3
2.Toy Drive for Children’s HospitalHi! Our names are Elizabeth Vahey and Anya Pineau and we are seniors at Wellesley High School. We are running toy drives for Boston Children’s Hospital at all of the Wellesley elementary schools as part of our senior project. We are looking for new or gently used books, toys, board games, and art supplies for long term and visiting patients to use as entertainment while in the hospital. Collection boxes can be found in the main entry. Thank you for your donations! Sincerely, Anya and Elizabeth
