“Honor the leap as well as the landing.” Shannon Donavan-Monti
Fiske Families,This was an exciting week at Fiske! Third grade went to Plimoth Plantation, 4G went on a geology walk, and parent teacher conferences were completed. Today a student stopped by my office to show me how to make an Origami Yoda; a very nice way to end the week!
Thursday night Wellesley Education Foundation hosted the annual spelling bee. Thank you to Jay Staunton, Siva Lavu, and Katy Gibson (Pictured above in the red lobster hats.)for representing the Fiske PTO.
4G went on a geology walk today. Fun was had by all while learning about geology in Wellesley. Here is Emma Gordon sliding down the famous Devil’s Slide.
Are you looking for a way to get rid of some of that Halloween candy? Fiske students, in conjunction with The Wellesley Dental Group, are collecting candy to send to our troops. There is a box in the office for all donated candy. Please have all donation in by Monday, November 9th.
On Wednesday, November 11th there will be no school in honor of Veteran’s Day. We would like to thank all our community members who served in the armed forces for their service. This distinguished group includes our music teacher, Julie Verret , and our lunch provider, Mr. Chips, who both served in the Army. The fourth grade will be celebrating some of our local Veterans on Monday.
