“Honor the leap as well as the landing.” Shannon Donavan-Monti Fiske Families, Happy 2016! When we left for vacation it was a balmy 60 degrees and now we are in single digits. I guess it is true what they say, “If you don’t like the weather in New England, then wait a minute.” The Fiske staff are firm believers in fresh air so if is above 20 degrees we have outdoor recess. Please have your students bring winter gear for the cold weather.
Bingo Don’t forget to join the Fiske community tonight at Trim Hall, Babson College from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for BINGO! The cost is $10.00 per person. Mrs. McGregor will be calling numbers and drawing the lucky winner of the raffle.
Lost and Found Do you recognize any of these items? They can be found in the Fiske Lost and Found.
World Language Next year K-2 Fiske students will be learning Spanish three times a week during the school day. Expert in world language programs, Helena Curtain, will be presenting a parent information session on Tuesday, January 12th at the Wellesley High School Auditorium from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Please come join us to hear about the exciting learning opportunities this program will provide your children. Lunch After careful consideration, it has been decided that we will revert back to having lunch before recess. Before vacation, the students and staff took a survey that included a comment section. Although many students enjoyed having recess before lunch, they did not feel there was enough time to finish eating before going back to class. We looked at many options to see if we could extend the lunch recess period but were unable to at this time. Thank you all for being so supportive of trying this pilot program.
