“The time is always right to do what is right.”Dr. Martin Luther King Jr
Fiske Families,We hope you all enjoy your long weekend in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.  May you all find time to spend time with your loved ones and enjoy all that the winter season has to offer us.
Speaking of winter…please remember to have your students bring their winter weather gear for outdoor recess.  We will have outdoor recess if the temperature is 20 degrees Fahrenheit or above.
BingoBingo, Juegos De Azar, JuegosBingo was a huge success!  Thank you to Tracy Cyr and Kelly Keenan for arranging such a fantastic family fun event.  I left with my pocket full of baked goods and homemade gummies.  I look forward to having lunch with the big winners!
Fiske MascotThe Student Council is running a mascot campaign!  They would like to invite all Fiske students to submit a persuasive essay describing their mascot idea and why it would be a good symbol for our school.  This is a volunteer submission.  All persuasive essays should be handed in to the office by Friday, January 22nd.
Safety ReminderPedestrians, Walkway, SidewalkArrival and dismissal are times of the day when we all have to take extra care while entering and leaving the school parking lots.  Please drive slowly, as children are getting into cars and crossing at the crosswalks.  Please DO NOT park in the upper parking lot or on Hastings Street during these times of the day.  Although the pick up line is long, it moves quickly and safely if we all follow the safety rules.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.
World LanguageWe are thrilled that Spanish is coming to Fiske!  Next fall K-2 Fiske students will have Spanish three times a week for 25 minutes.
