Dear Fiske Families,
Thank you to Anshul Chadda, Manisha Varma and Hillary Madge for organizing our second annual Fiske Science Fair. Students explored electricity, communication with dogs, hatching chickens, and so much more. It was an incredible exploration of science that was enjoyed by all! We are already looking forward to next year.
The Fisketastic Day of Play is on Wednesday, March 8th. Today we gathered as a community to launch our Fisketastic Day of Play. Students were read the book What Do You Do with an Idea by Kobi Yamada. This is a story of a child who gets and idea and learns how it can change the world. After hearing the story, we watched a Kid President video about creating inventions. The children are all very excited to start developing their ideas and begin building.
Do you have an upcoming Kindergartener for the school year 2017-2018? The next Kindergarten Registration Roundup is on Saturday, March 4th from 9:00-12:00 at Sprague School. For Kindergarten registration information please visit the Wellesley Public School website. All registration forms can be downloaded from this site.
BOKS – BOKS resumes Tuesday, March 7th.
BOKS before-school activity and exercise program will take a week break after vacation and resume Tuesday, March 7. We’ll meet Tuesdays and Thursdays until April vacation. New children are welcome (pick up the registration form in the gym when you drop off your child.) Few reminders:
-
Drop-off is 7:30-7:40 a.m.
-
Remember sneakers for your kids.
-
If school is delayed or canceled, then we won’t have BOKS.
We need parents/guardians to sign up for the next session, beginning March 7. PLEASE sign up to help. We need at least 2 adults each morning to keep the kids safe (and happy!):
