Dear Fiske Families,
Today our First Grade friends presented the school with an assembly on kindness. 1H read us the book What does it Mean to be Kind by Rana DiOrio. 1K shared acts of kindness we can all do to show we care about each other. Ms. Hennessey then explained that the first grade created a kindness tree that is displayed in the main hall outside of the gymnasium. Ms. Hennessey encouraged our community to look for acts of kindnesses from others to display on our kindness tree. We are all looking forward to our tree blooming with many acts of kindness.
Fiske Revue
Please join our talented 4th and 5th graders for the Fiske Revue on Wednesday, April 5th from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. We have dancers, singers, actors, musicians and graphic artists! Please come and watch the amazing show the students and Director Cindy Wright have prepared for you!
Recycling at Fiske
In conjunction with the Fiske Green team and the Fiske staff, Fiske children will be piloting a recycling program after April vacation. During lunch children will be recycling trash and recyclables before going outside to recess. On Friday, April 7th our Student Council will be presenting the school with an assembly on the recycling program and sharing a demonstration video with all students. Our Fiske students are looking forward to doing their part for our environment.
To start this program we are looking for parent volunteers to help children with recycling during lunch. Please consider volunteering for a 40 minute session to help with this exciting program. Please come join the Fiske Community for a book discussion group of Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth. Mrs. McGregor and Mrs. Grossman will be hosting two discussion groups for parents and guardians. Please join us for one of these groups.

MCAS
MCAS is quickly approaching. This year third and fifth grade students will take the MCAS with paper and pen. Our fourth grade students will be taking the MCAS online.
Please note the testing dates below for all MCAS sessions. We ask parents and guardians to make every effort to have your children well rested and at school on time for each testing session. Thank you!
