Dear Fiske Families,
On Wednesday our community enjoyed the Fiske Revue presented by our fourth and fifth grade performers and stage crew. Performances included acts by musicians, gymnasts, actors, dancers, and singers. The show ended with our stage crew singing the song Lean on Me by Bill Withers. A huge thank you to Cyndi Wright for directing this amazing event!
Don’t forget to visit the Science Expo at the Wellesley High School on Saturday, April 8th from 10:00 a.m. -2:00 p.m. Please be sure to visit the Fikse booth where there will be a hands-on conservation of momentum experiment and a tower building contest using toothpicks and gumdrops. It is sure to be a fun day of science an exploration.
Change of Recycling Assembly Date
Tuesday, April 11th
Recycling at Fiske
In conjunction with the Fiske Green team and the Fiske staff, Fiske children will be starting a recycling program after April vacation. During lunch children will be sorting recyclables before going outside to recess. Our Student Council will be presenting the school with an assembly on the recycling program and sharing a demonstration video with all students. We rescheduled the assembly date to Tuesday, April 11th. Our Fiske students are looking forward to doing their part for our environment.
To start this program we are looking for parent volunteers to help children with recycling during lunch. Please consider volunteering for a 40 minute session to help with this exciting program. Volunteers must have a current CORI form on file. To sign up please go to the signup genius, http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0d4ea5a623a6f85-cafeteria .
Lunch periods are:
11:25-12:05 Grades 1 and 5
12:05-12:45 Grades K and 3
12:45-1:25 Grades 2 and 4
Thank you for helping us with this program.
