Fiske Families,
Today is World Kindness Day. This day was established in 1998 and is celebrated annually on November 13th. During our morning announcements Fiske students were encouraged to live the K in our Fiske Fundamentals (Fair, Inclusive, Safe, Kind, Encouraging) today and every day. Students were asked to think of nice things they could do for their friends, families, pets and community. It was a delight to hear all of their ideas around how to show kindness to others.
Today parents joined me at our first Zoom Coffee with the Principal. We had a wonderful conversation about school and events that are coming up over the next month. We even generated ways for parents to connect via Zoom. More to come regarding our conversation. Thank you to all the parents who attended and helped to generate some ideas to further connect our community.
On Thursday WPD’sWinnie the Comfort Dog came to visit during two lunch periods. The students absolutely loved meeting Winnie. We thank our School Safety Officer Kathy Porier and Officer Tana DiCenso for providing this opportunity for our students to meet Winnie. We look forward to more visits from our new friend.
