Fiske Families,
A huge thank you to our Fiske D,E&I Committee members Jen Eramo, Emily Bellush, Alexandra Kritharas, Morgan Healey, Diamond Campbell, Michelle DeSantis and Mckenzie Cahill for planning Around the World with Fiske. Thank you to Jill Hegsted and the Fiske PTO Board for their help with decorating the gym and providing the water and paper products for the evening. Thank you to all the families who cooked, shared activities from their culture and read books from around the world. Thank you to all the families who came and participated in the event. Last night was truly a celebration of our amazing Fiske community.
Thank you to the Bixby, Bubna, Chawla, Nunes, Desai, Kapoor, Mageshwaran, Patel, Shyam and Yadav Families who provided our staff with an amazing lunch in celebration of Diwali. Our plates and hearts were full.
Turkey Trot

Our annual Fiske Turkey Trot will be on Wednesday, November 22nd at 8:45 a.m. on the back field. Please have your child/children bring an extra pair of shoes because the field can be wet in the morning.
As a part of our Turkey Trot, we ask families to donate one food item to the Wellesley Food Pantry. Your child can bring the item to school during the week of November 20-22. The Wellesley Food Pantry list of most needed items are;

Canned chicken

Canned tomatoes (whole tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, stewed tomatoes, tomato sauce)

Canned vegetables-beets, carrots, mixed vegetables, pumpkin,

Baked Beans
-
Refried Beans-(please don’t bring black beans)

Canned fruit-unsweetened applesauce, fruit cocktail, pears, pineapple

Cranberry sauce

New Book Fair 11/28-12/4
The annual PTO new book fair is back Tuesday November 28- Monday December 4. It is a great opportunity to purchase books for the holidays and help fundraise for our library! Each class will use their allotted library time for that week to attend the book fair. Children will be given the opportunity to either purchase books or create a wish list. We will invite parents to attend our book fair evening hours on Thursday November 30 from 6-7:30p.m. Please reach out if you have any questions.
