Fiske Families,
There will be no school on Friday in observance of Good Friday. Happy Easter to our families who are celebrating the holiday. We look forward to seeing the Fiske Falcons back on Monday, April 1.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Please be aware that both Tuesday, April 2 and Wednesday, April 3 are early release days for conferences.
Student Council
The student council is planning an all school assembly celebrating the diversity of our school. As part of this assembly the Student Council is creating a video that includes all of our students. The Student Council would like to invite families to email a picture of a family celebration or tradition to include in the video. If you would like to share a photo then please email it to Mrs. McGregor at mcgregorr@wellesleyps.org. The deadline for all photos is Friday, April 5th at 9:00 a.m. For confidentiality reasoning this video will not be shared outside of the school.
A note from our Nurse
Over the past few weeks we have been seeing an increase in students with Strep Throat. When left untreated, Strep is contagious to others. Symptoms include: sudden onset of throat pain, painful swallowing, red/ swollen tonsils, fever, nausea.
If your child exhibits any of these symptoms, please keep them home and have them evaluated by a doctor. They will need to be on antibiotics for 24 hours and have improving symptoms before returning to school.
FYI- MCAS Dates for 2024-
Congratulations to our amazing fifth grade students for finishing the ELA MCAS this week. Our students worked incredibly hard and we are so proud of them. On Thursday, April 4th and Friday, April 5th our fourth grade students will be participating in the ELA MCAS. Please make sure your child arrives at school by 8:30 a.m. Students who arrive after the assessments begin will have to take it on a test make up day.
