Dear Fiske Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! The Fiske staff is excited to see your children on the first day of school. A huge thank you to the Fiske Custodial Staff Steve McHale, Marcos Costa and Ian Groh for their incredible work getting the building ready for the first day of school. Thank you to all of our teachers who have worked hours to get the classrooms prepared for the Fiske Falcons to return.
In an effort to limit distractions and keep our students safe; smartphones, smartwatches and other electronic devices must be put away during the school day with no exceptions. Please see our Insider’s Guide to Fiske page 21 for further details regarding these guidelines. If for some reason you need to get a message to your child during the day then please call the office at 617-446-6265. Please do not email your teacher during the school day as they will be with the students and don’t always have time to look at emails that arrive during instructional time. Thank you
Parent/Guardian Communication
Every Friday afternoon you will receive an email titled Friday Fiske News that includes upcoming events at Fiske. The Fiske PTO will send a Monday Update to families who have subscribed to the newsletter. This includes information regarding upcoming events at Fiske and in town. Please be sure to update all of your information in the Parent Portal so you will be able to receive the PTO updates
Kindergarten and New Families Lemonade Gatherings
A quick reminder that the Fiske PTO and Principal McGregor will be hosting a lemonade gathering for our 2024-2025 Kindergarten students and new students on Tuesday, August 27th. Kindergarten families are invited to join us on the primary playground at 12:30 p.m. New families are invited to join us on the primary playground at 1:30 p.m. We will meet in the gym if it is raining.
Back-to-School Night
Mark your calendars! Back-To-School Night will be held on Thursday, September 19th from 6:30-8:00p.m. Further details will be posted in the next Friday Fiske News.
Fiske Western Round-Up
The Fiske Western Round-Up is just around the corner on Saturday, September 28, 2024. This is a wonderful Fiske PTO community event to support our school. A huge thank you to our Co-Chairs Jennifer Cohn and Christine Iracheta for coordinating this event for the second year. Please see the Fiske Western Round-Up website for more information on how to donate, volunteer and/or attend.
