Dear Fiske Families,
It is so nice to greet your children every morning as they come to school. Thank you to all parents/caregivers for waiting until 8:15 a.m., when the playground is supervised, before dropping your child off for the day. Fiske has a morning program that starts at 7:30 a.m. if you need before school care. You can sign up for this program using this link.
I would like to acknowledge the recent tragedy in Winder, GA. As their community mourns, our thoughts are with them. I want to remind our parents/caregivers that the Wellesley Public Schools remain vigilant about the safety of our students, staff and families. Please let our School Social Worker, Michelle DeSantis, know if your child is in need of in school support regarding this tragedy.
This week we had our first assembly focused on our new S.O.A.R behavior expectations; Self-Control, On-Task , Achievement and Respect. For the first four weeks of school teachers will work with students to understand how they can demonstrate these behaviors in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, bathrooms and when using technology. Please ask your child/children about S.O.A.R! Join us at our first PTO meeting on Tuesday, September 10th at 7:00 p.m. to find out more about S.O.A.R.
At Fiske we take allergies VERY seriously. For this reason we do not allow any food to be sent in for celebrations during the school day. This year we will not ask for donations of class snacks given the increased amount of allergies. Parents/caregivers are asked to send in a daily snack with their child/children. If your child does not have a snack they will be provided crackers from our nurse.
We had a very successful walk/roll to school day. We encourage all students to participate in our monthly walk/roll to school day that happens the first Wednesday of every month.
Please join us for our first PTO meeting of the year on Tuesday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. We will be discussing the PTO budget and learning more about S.O.A.R. This will be an in person meeting with a Zoom option.

Fiske Western Round-Up
The Fiske Western Round-Up is just around the corner on Saturday, September 28, 2024. This is a wonderful Fiske PTO community event to support our school. A huge thank you to our Co-Chairs Jennifer Cohn and Christine Iracheta for coordinating this event for the second year.
