Dear Fiske Families,

It is with deep pride that I am writing to inform you that today at 1 p.m., the U.S. Secretary of Education, Miguel Cardona, announced that the Fiske School is a 2024 National Blue Ribbon School.  This award could not have been accomplished without the dedicated work of our educators and students and the incredible support of our families.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools Award program was started in 1982 and recognizes schools that excel in academic performance, or make significant strides in closing achievement gaps among different student groups. Fiske was nominated in January by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in recognition of our school’s performance over the past three years. Today, we were honored as an Exemplary High Achieving School. A team of Fiske educators that included Alison Giorlando, Michele Mendoza, Kristin Stoetzel, Emily Bellush, Alexandra Kritharas and myself spent countless hours writing and submitting the extensive application. I am grateful for all of their hard work in making this possible for the Fiske community.  Please see the press release from the U.S. Department of Education regarding this award.  To see our school profile and application please click on this link

This is a proud moment for the Fiske community. Thank you to the teachers, staff members, students and parents/caregivers for working together each day to support one another so our Fiske Falcons can soar!

Sincerely, Rachel McGregor

Fiske Principal
