Fiske Families,
Picture retake day is Friday, December 13th. If you are unhappy with your child’s school picture then return the package on retake day and a new photo will be taken. This is also an opportunity for students who were not here on picture day to have their portrait taken. More information will be sent home on Monday. Please contact the Fiske Office if you have any questions regarding picture retake day.
School Arrival
The Fiske staff has noticed that many students have been arriving at school after 8:30 a.m., causing them to miss the start of their classroom activities. While we understand that there are times students are tardy for appointments, we encourage all students to be in the building at 8:30 a.m. To help ensure all students can begin their day on time and with their peers, we’d like to remind you of our tardy procedure outlined in the WPS Elementary Student Handbook (p.13):
Elementary School Policy:
“Students arriving late to school must report to the main office with a parent and be signed in. A student is considered late for elementary school if they are not in the classroom by 8:30 a.m., ready to begin the school day.”
Starting Monday, December 9, 2024, any student not in the school building by 8:30 a.m. will be considered tardy. A parent or caregiver must accompany the child or children to the front office to sign in, submit their lunch order, and receive a tardy slip.
Arriving on time ensures your child can participate fully in morning meetings and other important activities that set the tone for the day. Thank you for your cooperation in helping all of our students start their day successfully!
