It is hard to believe but we are one week away from winter break. Winter break is Monday, December 23-Wednesday, January 1, students return to school on Thursday, January 2. 

A huge thank you to Book Fair Co-chairs Jade Truitt, Erin Burke and Neha Patel and all the volunteers who worked throughout the week to run the amazing new book fair. Thank you to Ms. Allen for her work in helping students pick books. It was a great week!

Spirit Week is here!

The Fiske Student Council has organized our Fiske Spirit week, please see the list of our fun week;

  • Monday- Wear your favorite team jersey or colors

  • Tuesday-Mismatch day-Wear all you favorite patterns, colors and socks all at once

  • Wednesday- Favorite holiday attire-What is your favorite holiday of the year? Share with us by wearing your holiday attire.

  • Thursday- Fun hair and/or hat day

  • Friday- PJ or comfy clothes day

 

Winter Concert – Wednesday, December 18 at 8:45 a.m.

 

 

Fiske’s Band, Orchestra and Grade 5 Chorus will be performing their annual winter concert on Wednesday, December 18 at 8:45 in the Fiske gym. Each group rehearses once a week and is proud to be performing a wide variety of pieces. We hope you can attend.

 

 Two quick reminders

  1. Please make sure your child packs a snack each day. Over the past few weeks we have seen a sharp increase in snack requests. The nurse  keeps a small supply of Saltines in the office for illness and occasional needs but they aren’t a nutritionally significant snack.

  2. It is cold out there so please send your children in with hats, mittens or gloves and a jacket. If there is snow on the ground they should also have boots and snow pants.
