Dear Fiske Families,

There is no school on Monday, May 26 in observance of Memorial Day, a day to honor the people of our armed forces who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Please take time to reflect with your children about why we commemorate this day.  Have a lovely weekend.

A Fisketastic thank you to Teri Ebersole and Abi Putnam for the amazing amount of work they did to coordinate and host the Fiske Used Book Fair.  Thank you to the many volunteers who were there to help our students select and purchase books, and to all the families that donated an outstanding selection of books for our children to enjoy.

Thank you Fiske Float Chair Robin Knowlton for coordinating the Fiske Float.  We are proud to announce the float won the Best Decorated Float Award. Go Fiske Falcons!

Mark Your Calendars! On Tuesday, May 27 at 6:30 PM, Wellesley Wait Until 8th will host a special screening of Screenagers: Elementary Edition at Hunnewell School. This eye-opening, hour-long documentary examines how screens affect children’s development, friendships, and academic life—while highlighting strategies to foster healthy tech habits.

Stay afterward for a dynamic panel featuring:

  • Dr. Allie Keller: Clinical Psychologist and Neuropsychologist, Boston Child Study Center

  • Dr. Meredith Elkins: Clinical Psychologist and Co-Director, McLean Anxiety Masters Program

  • Brook Rosenbaum: Wellesley dad of a rising college freshman, rising high school junior, and rising 8th grader

  • Dr. Allie Baker: Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, Medical Advisory Board Member to Wait Until 8th, mom of three

  • Kathy Poirier: Wellesley School Resource Officer

This adults-only event is open to the entire Wellesley Public Schools community. We can’t wait to see you there for an evening of learning, sharing, and practical insights into balancing our kids’ digital lives!
