Fiske Families,

What an amazing fall it has been! The beautiful leaves and warm temperatures have made for a lovely season. With the warmer weather, we’ve accumulated a large collection of sweatshirts and jackets in our lost and found. Please make sure to label your children’s items with their names so we can return them if they get misplaced.

A huge thank you to Mitali Bixby, Joy Vagefi, and all the volunteers who organized a Fisketastic teacher luncheon. The food was amazing and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The Fiske teachers and staff truly appreciate your kindness!

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled for Wednesday, October 30, Wednesday, November 6, and Thursday, November 7. Please note that Thursday, November 7, is an additional early release day; students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m.

A Message from Our Nurse

Please remember to regularly check your child’s SNAP portal for messages from the nursing team. If you haven’t done so already, please enable notifications in SNAP to ensure you receive messages in a timely manner. As a department, we are moving away from email communication, as it is less secure than using the portal. Thank you for your understanding!

Halloween Parade

We are excited for our Halloween Parade on Thursday, October 31, at 8:45 a.m. Children will exit the building through the main entrance, walk through the primary playground, and around the backfield. The route will be clearly marked for easy viewing. As the field may be wet, we suggest that children bring boots or an extra pair of shoes for the parade. Children should come to school in their costumes and change into their school clothes afterward.

If your child is participating in the parade, please ensure their costumes reflect our Fiske Fundamentals: Fair, Inclusive, Safe, Kind, and Encouraging. Costumes should not promote stereotypes or bias against any groups. Specifically, costumes should not include:

  • Masks

  • Wigs

  • Face paint

  • Props

Please inform their classroom teacher if your child prefers not to walk in the parade.  A fall activity will be held in the library for students not participating.
