Dear Fiske Families,

Teacher Appreciation Week has been absolutely wonderful! Thank you to all the families who sent in thoughtful notes, cards, flowers, and so much more to our amazing staff. A special thank you to Mitalli Bixby and Joy Vagefi for organizing an incredible staff luncheon. We are so grateful for the delicious food contributions from so many families. Our hearts are full!

PTO Information Coffee – Friday, May 16 at 8:30 a.m.
Join us at the tables on the back field for a coffee hosted by the PTO. This is a great opportunity to learn more about all the ways the PTO supports our school and how you can get involved, whether by volunteering, joining a committee, or serving on the board. Your participation is vital to help our Fiske Falcons continue to S.O.A.R.!

Wellesley Wonderful Weekend – Veterans Parade on Sunday, May 18
Fiske will proudly participate in this year’s Veterans Parade, and the PTO is organizing a Fiske Float! We need volunteers to represent Fiske by riding on the float (a tractor with a hay wagon) or walking alongside and tossing candy. Wear your blue and green Fiske colors—accessories will also be available on the float to show your Fiske spirit!

Student Placement for 2024–2025
As we prepare for next year, we are beginning the student placement process. Your child’s current teacher will collaborate with a team that includes special educators, ELL teachers, math and literacy specialists, the school psychologist, school social worker/adjustment counselor, and the principal. Together, they will thoughtfully consider class placement.

If you have essential, new information regarding your child’s placement—especially if it is something your child’s current teacher may not be aware of—please email me at mcgregorr@wellesleyps.org by Wednesday, May 14. There is no need to send an email if you do not have new information to share. Rest assured that we strive to place every student in a compatible class with at least one friend.
Please note: we do not accept teacher requests under any circumstances.
