Dear Teachers, Staff and Families,

Each year we typically host a wonderful evening at P.A.W.S. for all of our families called the Winter Celebration.  Historically at this event, families bring food to share that represents their family and their winter traditions. Typically we all experience and enjoy the tastes of many different cultures and cuisines and enjoy a wonderful evening of celebration together.

This year, even though we will not be able to gather together in the school in person, we are asking each family to share the recipe of a favorite food they enjoy. Please complete THIS FORM (https://forms.gle/CpYdAbqs4HKxpaaa6) by December 16, 2020 along with a photo of the food, or of your family, or of your family enjoying the food!

We will be putting together a P.A.W.S. Family Cookbook and ask every staff member and each of our families to share their favorite recipe that they like to cook/bake at home for Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Snacks, Dessert/Baked Goods and other foods. This cookbook will include recipes from all of the P.A.W.S. rich and diverse cultural backgrounds such as Mediterranean, Asian, Caribbean and all cuisines.  We want to create the cookbook to help our students gain and families foster an even greater understanding and appreciation of one another’s cultures.

Each family and staff member will provide a recipe. We ask that you write a small explanation about the recipe that you provide. Please explain the meaning behind the recipe and how it became a tradition in your family.

Thank you,

‘Becca Z. and the P.A.W.S. Diversity Equity and Inclusion Team
