December 2, 2022
Dear PAWS Families,
I hope you all enjoyed your first book bag of books from the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program last week! For those who returned your book bags back to school, we issued another bag full of 10 new books to enjoy this week. If you did not have a chance to return your first book bag, feel free to return it to your child’s classroom teacher when you are ready for your next book bag! New book bags will then be sent home for you to enjoy together.
We have volunteers from the Wellesley High School helping us on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. If there are any PAWS parents/caregivers who would like to help us on Tuesday or Wednesday mornings between 9:00-10:00 or 10:00-11:00 am with the swapping of the bags, that would be great! You may sign up HERE or send an email to PAWSOFFICE@wellesleyps.org to let us know your availability.
Thank you for your support and for sharing any feedback on how the book reading is going at your house! Please reach out with any questions!
Helping Hands for the Holidays
We have received many requests for the Helping Hands Project at PAWS this year!
If you are able to help make the holidays brighter for a student at PAWS, HERE is a link to the Helping Hands Sign-up Genius with the requests we have received so far. Please sign-up to purchase an item if you are able and send it unwrapped to school by Wednesday, December 14th. You may order items and have them shipped to PAWS directly and we will get the gifts connected to the correct child. If you are able to send in any tape, wrapping paper or gift bags, we will send those home with the gifts for the parents to wrap for their children.
Helping Hands Gifts may be shipped to:
PAWS CARES TEAM
63 Hastings Street
Wellesley, MA 02481
Thank you to those who have signed-up to help already! We appreciate your support of our PAWS community members.
Thank you to the Colson-Ortega Family and to the O’Connell Family for your delicious and generous donations of snacks, treats and seltzer for the PAWS staff! Everything was enjoyed and is appreciated! Thank you to all of our PAWS families for your support and kindness! We are grateful for your ongoing collaboration with the PAWS team!
I hope you have a fun and safe weekend and enjoy special time with those you love!
