Announcements:

WPS is transitioning our mass communication platform for emails, calls, and text messages from SchoolMessenger to ParentSquare. ParentSquare uses 1 email address and 1 phone number from PowerSchool for each parent/guardian/caregiver. Please check your contact information in the PowerSchool Parent Portal and delete any outdated phone numbers or emails. Learn more about ParentSquare (PSQ).

The nursing department is in the process of updating your student’s health records for the new school year. This triggers a monthly email reminder to parents/guardians to confirm or update their student’s medication permissions, immunizations, and health conditions. This process ensures that the information in your student’s health records is accurate and yearly permissions are confirmed for the new school year. Log into Powerschool using the same username and password you use to access report cards and click the SNAP Health Portal icon on the left sidebar. Read more details on the the Nursing Department Website.

Please join us for Hardy’s annual Back to School Night from 5:45-7:15 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18. The schedule is 5:45-6:15 p.m. visit K-2; 6:20-6:40 p.m. Principal & PTO welcome; 6:45-7:15 p.m. visit 3-5.
The Grade 5 students will once again offer babysitting services. 5th graders (with a little help from their parents) will host babysitting in the Hardy library. The cost is $15 per child, $25 maximum per family. Advance sign-up is required: NO walk-ins. Younger children are welcome but they must be toilet trained. Food is not allowed. Proceeds from this 5th grade fundraiser will go toward the yearbooks, class gift and end of the year celebration.
Please see the Hardy PTO newsletter for sign-up information.

Students receiving antibiotics for a contagious condition such as strep throat must stay out of school until 24 hours of antibiotic therapy has been completed. Excessive coughing and nasal discharge and generally not feeling well are indications that the child should remain home.
If your child has a temperature of 100 degrees or above (taken orally) in the morning, it is recommended that (s) he remain home. Students should remain home for 24 hours after a fever has subsided without the use of fever-reducing medication such as acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Motrin). If your child develops a fever during school hours, they will not be allowed to return to the classroom and will remain in the health office until dismissed to a parent/guardian or their designee.
