Dear HunneBates,
It was a beautiful day at Bates today. I spent the afternoon admiring the work of our fourth graders, who worked in teams to design earthquake resistant buildings as part of their engineering unit in science. You can see some of the products of their hard work in the photos below.

Please join me for coffee on November 30 at 8:45 in the Bates Library to learn about social emotional learning at HunneBates. This interactive conversation will share about the Responsive Classroom model and the Zones of Regulation curriculum used at Bates. My hope is to share the great work at HunneBates as well as information and tips for families to support the social development of students across the elementary grades. A Zoom link will be provided for those who would like to join virtually.
