Fiske Families,

The Fiske Falcon has landed. Establishing a mascot has been a long process that began last school year. This process started with a persuasive essay contest and an art contest. The process ended with Dana Lynch, Ceida Chan, Manisha Varma, and Anna Papoutsis working with the graphics to arrive at the final version that you see above. Thank you to the entire community for working together to find us the perfect mascot and symbol for our school.

Now that we have our mascot, keep your eyes out for Spirit Wear: Fiske hoodies, sweat pants, bottles, magnets, and beanie hats! Order forms will be ready as soon as possible, with an order deadline of December 15th. This will ensure delivery by the last day of school before the winter break, December 23rd. Stay tuned!

A huge thank you to Perri Gordon and the Creative Arts Committee for arranging and sponsoring the a capella group Ball in the House for our students to enjoy. Today our students heard about the teamwork and responsibility it takes to be part of a singing group. This was an amazing program that had us all singing for the rest of the day.

Next Friday, December 9th at 8:45 a.m., Fiske’s Orchestra, Band, and Fifth Grade Chorus will be performing their annual Winter Concert. They will be performing some traditional winter pieces like Themes from the Nutcracker and Leroy Anderson’s Sleigh Ride, plus some delicious favorites – Hot Fudge Sundae and Hot Chocolate! We hope you can come and hear these three hard working groups of Fiske students.

Toys for Tots

The Wellesley Masonic Lodge and Toys for Tots are collecting new, unwrapped toys until Monday, December 12th. Last year Toys for Tots provided 9,240 toys for children in the Worcester County. Please put all donations in the Toys for Tots box in the Fiske lobby. Thank you
