Fiske Families,
This was a very busy week at Fiske. On Wednesday we had our second Walk to School Day of the year. Congratulations to 4HZ for having the most participants for the day. After walking, we all smiled for the camera for picture day. If your child was not here, makeup picture day will be announced as soon as the date has been confirmed. This week we also had our first School Council and PTO meeting. Things are moving along with the Fiske Falcons.
Fiske School will be closed on Monday in observance of Christopher Columbus Day. We look forward to seeing your children on Tuesday. Enjoy the long weekend.

Safety reminders:

Remain in car line at all times until the teacher on duty directs the line to move forward.

Wait for the crossing guard to signal for you to enter the crosswalk before you begin to cross the street.
These safety precautions are created to assure that we have a safe arrival and dismissal for all children.
BOKS is Back!
The PTO is pleased to offer BOKS, a before school physical activity program at Fiske this fall. Classes are filled with team-oriented games and provide plenty of opportunity for play since the program focuses on fun!
BOKS will be held on Monday and Thursday mornings. The first BOKS class will start on Monday, October 15. Drop-off is 7:30 a.m. Students will be dismissed at 8:15 a.m. for before school recess.
Typical BOKS Class

30-40 minutes long

Fun warm-up game or movement drills

Running activity, relay races, obstacle courses and strength movements

Fun game

Cool down and a BOKS Bit- a nutrition component of the program
