Dear Families,
On Monday there will be no school in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. You are encourage to attend the World of Wellesley and Wellesley High School Diversity Club Martin Luther King Jr. Family Event at Sprague on Monday, January 21st from 11:30 -1:00. If you are unable to attend, take a moment to discuss, or read a book, with your families about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s incredible and fight for civil rights.
New this week…Each morning during the announcements students are now announcing the date in Spanish. Students work with Senora Cavo to practice the date before saying it over the intercom. This is such a fun way to highlight our students’ learning in the Spanish FLES program and to integrate the learning in our daily practice.
THE SCIENCE FAIR IS COMING!
Calling all scientists! The fourth annual Fiske Science Fair will be held on Sunday, Feb 10th from 2:30-4:00 pm in the Fiske gym. Please encourage your child/children to be part of this Fisketastic event. A message about our music teacher, Mrs. Verret
You are invited to a performance being given by our music teacher, Julie Verret. Ms. Verret is going to be performing the Marcello Oboe Concerto with the Wellesley High School Orchestra on Thursday, January 31 at 7:00 PM in the WHS auditorium. Mrs. Verret is not only Fiske’s music teacher, but she is also a professional oboist and regularly performs as an oboe and English horn player with the Portland Symphony Orchestra.
