Fiske Families,
We are delighted to be welcoming all our K-5 students back to school 5 days a week starting on April 5th. For grades 3-5 all students will return to in person school 5 days a week. For grades K-2 students will be coming back on Wednesdays in addition their current four day a week schedule. Please remember that school hours on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday are 8:30 a.m.-3:05 p.m. School hours on Wednesdays will be 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
WPS will be starting COVID surveillance testing for grades 3-5 on Monday, March 29th and Tuesday, March 30th. Test kits will be sent home via backpack with Cohort A and C students on Thursday, March 25th and Cohort B students on Friday, March 26th. The following week there is no school on Friday, April 2nd so kits will be sent home on Monday, March 29th and Tuesday, March 30th. If you were unable to attend Superintendent Dr. Lussier and Director of Nursing Linda Corridan webinar on the district’s viral testing program for grades 3-5 then please take some time to view the recorded presentation using this link. Written directions will also be sent home next week.
On Thursday, March 25th at 6:30 p.m. I will be hosting a parent information session regarding our full return to school and the viral testing for grades 3-5 students. The Zoom link will be sent out on Thursday morning. Please send me any questions you have before the presentation so I am able to include these in the information session.
There has been a schedule change on our calendar. Wednesday, March 31st will be a remote day for all students.
Staff Snacks
Thank you to the Ellis and Fanning Families for providing snacks this week for our staff. The cart was filled with delicious treats that were enjoyed by the Fiske Staff all week.
Kindergarten RoundUp (Virtual)
Kindergarten registration for the 2021-22 school year has begun for children 5 years of age on or before August 31, 2021. Please note that if your child is age-eligible but will not start kindergarten in the 2021-22 school year, we ask that you submit a written request to defer your child’s attendance for one school year. Kindergarten registration packets are available online. Read more on the district Student Registration webpage.
