Hello Hardy Families:

Hardy Marchers Wanted:
The Wellesley Parade is this Sunday at 1:00 and Hardy will have a spirited float representing our school and supporting the theme of A Global Hardy.  Please come out and join in the parade and walk with other Hardy friends and families.  Our float is decorated with flags from across the globe, festive balloons and the best part, Hardy students and families dressed in attire from various cultures, Hardy wear or wearing the color red.  The Bovie family has taken the lead in getting a truck and decorating it for us with some help from Hardy students.  You can also join in the float decoration by joining other float decorators around 11:00. We have a bunch of candy to give out (thank you Jenni Colone) but can always use more.  If anyone can lend us a wagon or two that would be great.  We’re hoping to bring our cooler as well for water bottles.
Show your school spirit- join the parade at:

Go to Woodlawn Ave (in Wellesley Hills) off of Rt. 16.  We’ll be lined up (#90) after the Bates float, pole 9-3.  Parade is scheduled to start at 1 but it will take a while before we start moving. We will be there beforehand — around 11:30 to begin decorating.

World Language Update:Sprague and Hardy will be the first schools to implement World Language in the 2015-2016 school year. Students in grades K-2 will participate next year and the year after that grades 3 to 5 will participate. We are very excited about this addition to our program and are working on planning schedules that support this implementation as well reviewing applications from potential teaching candidates. The official language was announced this past Tuesday at School Committee…it is Spanish!
There will be an informational meeting on Monday, May 18th at 7 PM at Wellesley Middle School with language expert, Helena Curtain and school leadership. We hope you can attend.  Just in case you cannot attend the evening meeting with Helena Curtain there will also be a option for parents to hear Helena Curtain’s presentation during the day on: May 18th from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Hardy and   May 19th  from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. in the Sprague cafeteria.

MCAS make up days will be May 18 and 19.

Thanks,
