Welcome to November! As we had our first School Spirit days this past week, it was great to see students and staff wearing their Hardy gear or Hardy color (red) to show school spirit as a proud Hardy Husky!
Calendar Reminder
- Tuesday, November 3rd: Both A & B cohorts together remote for 1/2 day (like a “regular” Wednesday); conferences in p.m.
- Wednesday, November 4th: Cohort B in-person for full day; Cohort A remote for full day
RISE Assembly
On Wednesday of this past week, we had our first school assembly. This was a virtual assembly as students watched a prerecorded program that included skits, the RISE rap, and a special guest. At the beginning of the assembly, fifth grade teachers Mrs. Sjostedt and Mrs. Andruskevich introduced RISE to students. Next, fifth grade students performed in skits designed to demonstrate each element of RISE in the classroom and on the schoolyard. Then our talented music teacher Mr. Corcoran led students in sharing the special RISE rap. Finally, I was introduced as the special guest for the assembly and was interviewed by the students. Hopefully this assembly was helpful in both teaching students about RISE and promoting a positive school culture!
School Photos Reminder
Coffee Pond Photography will once again take school photos on Monday, November 2nd (Cohorts A & C) and Friday, November 6th (Cohort B & those students in C who weren’t able to have their photo taken on Monday). Your children should have brought home order forms last week. Coffee Pond has instituted several measures to ensure a completely touch-less and appropriately socially distanced Picture Day at Hardy.
