Dear Hardy families,
Highlight from the past week:
We celebrated “Half Way Day” in connection to being the halfway point of the school year, as students and staff came to school wearing half/half & mismatched clothing.
A group of 3rd graders and Mr. Smith showing off their half-way day styles!
Fitness & Heath teacher Mr. Guzzi got into the spirit with a special haircut!
Black History Month Events:
As February is Black History Month, Wellesley’s office of Diversity Equity and Inclusion has put together a resource page featuring special events that are going on throughout the month. These events are presented by various sources including the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Boston Museum of Fine Arts. Please click HERE to access the resource page document.
Asynchronous Specialist Lessons:
I would also like to remind parents in grades 3-5 that hybrid students are assigned asynchronous lessons each week in two specialist subjects, either art, music, library or fitness and health. The specialists create these lessons for your children to ensure they receive all four specials every week. These asynchronous lessons are a valuable part of the curriculum. Please make every effort to support your child/children to participate in these lessons on their at-home days. Thank you for your support in this way.
Wishing you a great upcoming February vacation!
Respectfully yours,
Grant Smith
Principal
