On Wednesday, the PTO sponsored a special picnic. It was great to see so many families who came out to enjoy this special event!

Back to School Night
As a reminder, our Back to School Night will be held on Thursday, September 23rd. This will be a virtual program that will take place over zoom. Here is the schedule:
5:45-6:00 PM- Principal & PTO Welcome
6:10-6:40 PM- Gr. 4, 5
6:50-7:20 PM- Gr. K, 1
7:30-8:00 PM- Gr. 2, 3
Stay tuned for the Zoom link for the Principal & PTO Welcome which will be shared out prior to the event. Classroom teachers will share out Zoom links for classroom presentations.
Morning Announcements
In an effort to promote school culture and community building, we have begun to do daily morning announcements. We have fifth grade students helping with this, with one fifth grade student leading announcements each day on a rotation. As part of these announcements, a student leader recites the Pledge of Allegiance and shares a quote. In addition, this student will also share a trivia question. Finally, I will announce any student birthdays. Students will be given a special birthday pencil as a small gift from me to recognize their special day. Hopefully these announcements will help in spreading joy in the Hardy School!
