Dear Hardy families,

Highlights from the past week

School Spirit Day

On Friday, we had our first School Spirit Day. It was great to see the Hardy students sporting their Hardy gear or red-colored clothing in support of our school. Go Hardy Huskies!

Back to School Night

On Thursday, we had a virtual Back to School Night. It was great to see so many families in the Zoom-based presentations.

2021 National Blue Ribbon School Award Winner

On Tuesday, we were excited to learn that Hardy School has been designated a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School. The National Blue Ribbons Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Hardy was recognized for being an exemplary high-performing school. The National Blue Ribbon School Flag (which will be posted at Hardy), is a widely recognized symbol of exemplary teaching and learning. Kudos to the Hardy School Community on this significant achievement!

Reminder about Smartphones, Smartwatches, and other Electronic Devices

As a friendly reminder, for reasons of distraction, safety and security, smartphones, smartwatches and other electronic devices must be put away during the school day. These items are not considered “put away” if they are in the pockets of jackets, coats or pants.  Parents wishing to reach students during school hours are asked to call the main office and leave a message for the student or ask that the student come to the office and return the call. Thank you for your attention to this expectation.

Have a great week!

Respectfully yours,

Grant Smith
