On Wednesday, we had the Massachusetts Rock & Roll to School Day. Kudos to P.E. teacher Mr. Guzzi for planning this event for our school community!
School Council Update
As part of our February School Council meeting this past week, we reviewed the Superintendent’s approved budget for FY ‘24. We also continued our planning for our STEAM based learning initiative, Project Build Hardy, which is tied to the upcoming school building project. We have submitted a grant application to WEF (Wellesley Education Foundation) to fund this initiative and are awaiting a response. Stay tuned for more updates on the work of the School Council in future principal letters.
Student use of cell phones/Smart Watches during the school day reminder
In keeping with the expectation established in the Hardy Insider’s Guide handbook and in keeping with the practice that is shared in all other Wellesley elementary schools, students are expected to keep cell phones, Smart Watches, and other electronic devices from home in their backpacks during the school day. Teachers will remind students of this as needed. Thank you for your understanding.
Favorite Colors Day
We will have another 5th grade planned Spirit Day this upcoming Friday. Students are invited to wear their favorite colors to school (with as many items of clothing as possible showcasing this favorite color).
