Hello Hardy Families:
Highlights From the Week:
On Wednesday, we had a special Creative, Arts, and Sciences program- “Songspun,” which incorporated music and mindfulness.
On Friday, we had the December Dash Walk and Bike to School Day. Kudos to Mr. Guzzi for planning this special day for our school.
PROJECT BUILD HARDY
We have updated our Project Build Hardy bulletin board in the main hallway. This includes a posting of the theme for December, which is construction (general). It also includes photographs taken as students worked through building-related puzzles in classrooms. We are looking forward to having Lauren Slaven, Principal of the Hardy Construction project from Shawmut Construction come to Hardy on Friday to share with students. Stay tuned for more information about this assembly in next week’s principal letter.
WEBINAR FEATURING MERRITT MOORE
Wellesley Public Schools, in collaboration with the Wellesley Hills Junior Women’s Club, is proud to welcome Dr. Merritt Moore to help us celebrate National Computer Science Education Week.
Dr. Moore, who graduated with Magna Cum Laude Honors in Physics from Harvard and a PhD in Atomic and Laser Physics from the University of Oxford, has also pursued a professional ballet career. She is also an Adjunct Professor at NYU Abu Dhabi teaching “Creative Robotics” that fuses arts and science.
We invite you to join us this Wednesday, December 13th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Merritt will talk about how STEAM helped her follow her passions by combining science, coding, and art.
