Hello Hardy
Highlights from the past week:
We had our annual Book Fair. As part of this, we had a special Family Night, which included a visit from former Hardy librarian and current author, Lisa Rogers. Kudos to parent organizer Jamie Foley for making this event possible!
On Thursday, we had the Shamrock Shuffle, Walk & Roll to School Day. Kudos to Mr. Guzzi for planning this special event for our school.
On Friday, we had a 5th grade planned Spirit Day as students wore designated colors that were aligned to their grade level.
On Friday, we had a Project Build Hardy Assembly. See more information below.
We also had our annual Bingo Night on Friday evening! Kudos to the fifth grade committee for planning this special event for our school community.
Project Build Hardy Update
Our theme for the month of March is plumbing. As part of the Project Build Hardy assembly on Friday, we were joined by plumber Josh Brogan who shared with students about types of plumbing systems, how plumbing systems work, interior piping, and what happens to the water as it goes outside. In classrooms, students are working with plumbing related activities that involve building with plastic piping. Stay tuned for more updates on Project Build Hardy as we continue with this initiative throughout the year.
School Spirit Day
On Friday, we’ll have a School Spirit Day. Students are invited to wear their Husky gear to school.
Have a great week!
Respectfully yours,
Grant Smith
